Senior Awards Assembly
Welcome to the sixty-first annual Senior Class Recognition. We are disheartened that this is the first year we cannot come together for our traditional, unique student assembly. However, we are very proud to celebrate and honor our seniors for their great accomplishments over the past thirteen years. Included are links to each of the assembly sections, just as they would be in the auditorium.
Congratulations Class of 2020!
The Ellwood City Community is a very generous community that supports Lincoln students in many great ways. One such way is by awarding our seniors with scholarships. Thank you to our community for your generosity. We appreciate that you encourage our students as they pursue their dreams. The following recognizes those seniors who have received a scholarship from our community (this does not include post-secondary institution scholarships). Please note that not all scholarship committees have announced their winners at this time. We will update this list until June 30, 2020.
We are so very proud of the growth in our students over the years and have enjoyed watching so many of our students shine academically, musically, artistically, and physically. The Lincoln teachers and administration are happy to recognize those students who have excelled in a variety of domains. The following includes our Outstanding Senior Awards in each of our departments.
School Performance Awards
Perfect Attendance, Presidents Award, Leadership
We wish to congratulate the many students who have excelled in their academic performance, have committed to attending school, and have dedicated themselves to our school community. The following recognizes students in grades 9-12 with excellent school performance.
The following includes the Class of 2020 Honor Graduates. A student shall be designated as an Honor Graduate if he or she has attained 90% of the highest possible Quality Points, which must be at least 125 Quality Points.
High Honors Graduates
The following includes the Class of 2020 High Honor Graduates. A student shall be designated as a High Honor Graduate if he or she has attained 95% of the highest Quality Points, which must be at least 132 Quality Points.
Presentation of the Senior Class Key
The Class of 1925 made a very unique donation to Lincoln High School: an oversized Senior Class Key. Each year, during our Senior Recognition Assembly, the senior class president gives a challenge to his or her senior peers; he or she presents this oversized key to the next senior class president; then, leads our seniors out of the auditorium. Our high school principal invites the juniors to take the seats of the seniors. By taking their seats, they are accepting the responsibility of a Lincoln Senior Class. The following links include class of 2020 president, Miss Angela Volpe’s challenge to the Class of 2020 and presentation of the Senior Class Key; LHS principal Mr. Kirk Lape’s invitation to the Junior Class to accept the responsibilities of being a Lincoln Senior; and Class of 2021 president Mr. Dorian Anderson’s acceptance of the Senior Class Key and challenge to the Class of 2021.
