ECASD Awarded Two Technology Grants

The ECASD was notified that it received two grants this past week to enhance Computer Science instruction and STEM programs and also a grant from Chevron to implement Project Lead the Way for grades 3-4 STEM programs.  Several staff members were involved in the projects including Joe Mancini - superintendent, Frank Keally - Elementary Principal, Matt Skoczylas - Elementary Technology Teacher, Keith Golebie - Secondary Technology Teacher, Dave Poore - Secondary STEM teacher, Scott Setzenfand - Elementary STEM Teacher, Alan Marsh - Elementary Art Teacher.  The funding for both grants provides professional development for staff to implement more computer science and STEM related course work for students.  Currently the district teaches STEM courses in grades 3-12 in maker labs in Perry, Hartman and Lincoln.
