Bring Your Own Device Policy, Grades 7 & 8

Students in grades 7 & 8 may bring electronic devices to school to use for educational purposes; all devices that students plan to use this school year need registered. Devices must be approved every year, so please complete the registration despite being approved in previous years. Once again, all devices used during school time need to be approved and registered through the technology department!

We had a great start to the school year.  I would to thank all stakeholders (students, parents, teachers, & staff) for all of the cooperation through the construction and heat early in the school year.  Let’s keep it rolling through September.

Parents/Students — Do not forget to continually monitor academic progress in Tyler.  The midpoint of the first 9-weeks will be September 25.  We will have an act 80 day with dismissal for students at 11:15 (no lunch served that day) on Friday, September 28.

Do not forget about the morning labs for Math (room 109), Reading & Writing Lab (122), & Technology Lab (Room 217) each morning for students needing extra help at 7:10AM or remediation time with teachers each day until 2:55PM.

“I Can” statements were created by the staff to simplify the PA Core Standards in Math and Reading.  I Can Statements are used by the staff with the students so that they understand what they are learning.
